Broken home is a condition where a family experiences a disharmony. A broken home becomes a serious problem that can affect the development of teenagers. When the family structure is broken, teenagers often become the main victims of the situation. They may experience emotional problems, have difficulty adapting, and lose their self confidence.
First, a broken home often causes emotional problems. Teenagers can feel angry, depressed, or stressed. They find it hard to focus at school or in daily activities.
Second, they have difficulty adapting to new situations. For example, if they have to live with only one parent or more to a new place, the feel uncomfortable and afraid
Third, teenagers can lose their self confidence. They think that the family problem is their fault. As a result, they become shy and do not want to talk to other people.
A broken home can give a bad impact on teenagers mental health, such as unstable emotions, difficulty in adapting, and loss of self confidence. Therefore, parents should still give attention and emotional support to their children. Talk to them so they don’t feel alone.
